No. 1-3 was made especially for Carrousel du Louvre and was exhibited in Paris September 2022 at the Focus Art Fair. It’s journey began on the roof top bar at The Thief hotel in Oslo, then Paris, and through several exhibitions at our gallery and studio space at Via Showcase and then.. moving on to our new studio at Slependen traveling alongside the rest of my art the last piece in this series No. 3 cracked!
This is the short version.
BUT inspired by my colleague and friend Paulina Ree and the Japanese tradition kintsugi, I decided to mend the broken part with 24k gold. This artwork is very special and means a great deal to me, and now it’s even more powerful, beautiful and meaningful than ever before. In a way very similar to people and life itself.
